INSIDE Industry Association serves as the European Technology Platform for research, design, and innovation in Intelligent Digital Systems and their applications. With over 270 members from 28 European and associated countries, it spans the entire Electronic Components, Software, and Systems value chain, fostering collaboration between industry and academia. Since 2004, INSIDE has been headquartered in the High Tech Campus of Eindhoven, Netherlands.

INSIDE focuses on securing funding for innovative, competitive, and sustainable solutions while driving technological advancement and strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy. Aligned with the European Chips Act, it plays a pivotal role in enhancing Europe’s hardware and software supply chain. It has mobilized six billion euros in investments and supported over 150 R&I projects across sectors like agrifood, defense, mobility, and healthcare. These efforts have led to hundreds of papers, patents, and technology prototypes.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) concept. Electronic circuit. Communication network.

With more than 270 members, representing key industrial players, SMEs, innovative startups, and research organizations from European Member States and other participating countries (including Norway, Israel, and Canada), INSIDE collaborates to develop a vision and roadmap for Intelligent Digital Systems and their applications. Our members embody European excellence across the entire Electronic Components and Systems value chain, from semiconductor
manufacturers to system integrators, connectivity providers, software developers, vertical applications, and end users.

As a key partner in initiatives like KDT and Chips JU, INSIDE promotes Europe’s leadership in Intelligent Digital Systems. Through its dynamic and multidisciplinary community, it drives impactful research agendas and delivers solutions that boost European competitiveness in the global digital market.

INSIDE Industry Association is one of the three
private partners in the Chips JU, a Joint Undertaking
governed by a tripartite model involving Participating
States, the European Commission, and three Industry
Associations. Our mission is to support both the
industrial and academic communities, securing funds
for innovative, competitive, trustworthy, and sustainable
solutions that align with European values

“We now see INSIDE bringing together the whole value chain. All the players are present here and we see that it’s much more important that everyone in the chain comes to an agreement on what the next generation of chips and software will look like and on what to develop in the future.”
