Joining is simple, and the annual membership fee is consistent across all cases.

For the 2024 and 2025 calendar years, the fee (excluding VAT) is as follows.

Then, participation in KDT/Chips JU projects determines your contribution fees within the Inside Industry Association when you get funding.

As strategic partner, INSIDE Industry Association partially funds the administrative costs of the Chips Joint Undertaking, with the remaining costs covered by the European Commission.

The Association finances its share through a “Variable Fee.” Details on this can be found in the revised Articles of Association (AoA) and Bylaws.

The calculation of the Variable Fee is based on the maximum possible funding you receive from the EU – and National Funding Authorities, as outlined in the Public Authorities decision. 

Invoices for the Variable Fee are sent directly to representatives of the project consortium partners. These invoices are issued only after the Grant Agreement has been signed by Chips JU or the European Commission.
